Notice for 0.5 base (2.6.x kernel) users: 

module-init-tools package should be in mainmodule - it's necessary for all systems with a kernel 2.5.XX and newer

  • slightly tweaked 2.6.7 kernel
  • inclusion of mini_fo (replaces translucency, still available via translucency=on)
  • updated hwdata (version 0.140)
  • fixed hwsetup (solves issues with NVidia cards not being detected)
  • fixed nvidia minimodule
  • number of minor fixes to boot scripts
  • inclusion of a few patches (udev, alsa related)

01-08-2004 (version 0.5-pre1 base - "Thebe") 

       - now using 2.6.7, with cloop v2 and translucency (squashfs was left out: [1] )
       - GRUB non-floppy emulation used, with thanks to Kano. For details, see TransitionReadme or README.transition on the ISO
       - New GRUB gfxboot theme, with thanks to g1powermac and apoplex
       - added pcmcica hotplug scripts
       - LEGAL file added for GPL v2 compliance (just in case RMS comes banging through the door)

28-02-2004 (version 0.4-1d base - "Phobos") 

       - updated kernel to 2.4.25-lck1, added forcedeth
       - added cloop 2.0, backwards-compatibility for mounting cloop v1 modules (and squashfs, if it's in the kernel)
       - using separate mount_module script, can be found in /usr/sbin
       - nvidia now resides in it's own minimodule, can be removed separately (which makes your morph GPL-compliant)
       - mainmodlibglfix must not be executed (all files from /usr/lib/backup/, /usr/X11R6/lib/backup/ and /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/backup/ should be moved one folder up; mainmodules will be pure debian at last ==)
