[edit] List of 3rd party kernel module requests
Please add links and license/distribution information too
(These are prime targets for version-specific minimodules, especially if they are proprietary)

[edit] Firmware
atmel-firmware bluez-firmware (Broadcom BCM203x)
[edit] Wireless Network (802.11)
[edit] Atheros (madwifi) drivers. Supports 802.11a/b/g cards
Homepage: http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/ License: Portions GPL, portions binary only. (Redistribution OK) FAQ: http://www.mattfoster.clara.co.uk/madwifi-faq.htm Requires Kernel Patch: No.
Other issues:
This driver is in beta, and uses the device ath0 instead of eth0, which may break network configuration tools. I'm trying to build a minimodule for this, but I still have to figure out how.
[edit] Atmel drivers
Homepage: http://at76c503a.berlios.de/
License: GPL Requires Kernel Patch: No.
Other issues:
This driver really should be included in the base kernel, IMHO. However, it is not, nor is it packaged for Debian or anything.
[edit] Winmodems
proprietary lucent and atheros (madwifi) drivers
[edit] NVidia Drivers
Moved to a seperate minimodule.
