[edit] Before burning

You can change the default boot language of the [ISO] image before burning it to [[|http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD CD||http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD]]/DVD, by using the knxiso-setlang utility that you can download from: http://homepage.hispeed.ch/py430/knoppix/knxiso-setlang

This utility uses the knoppix-customize utility, that you will need to download as well, from: ftp://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/knoppix-mib/knoppix-customize.c

Please see Forum Thread - http://www.morphix.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id1121&forum3&jump1&PHPSESSIDec2388421cffe39214baa5abfc2ee6c6 Somebody has reported a problem using this method, what did work was AddingDefaultBootoptions and put the require boot options as default.

[edit] During the booting

You can specify your language/keyboard using the cheatcode/MorphixBootOptions

'morphix lang=languageabbreviation'

lang=bg||be||ch||cn||cs||cz||da||de||dk||es||fi||fr||it||ja||nl||pl||ru||sk||tr||tw||uk||us

You can click on http://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/IG/ert/iso639.htm to see the two-letters code meanings (languageabbreviation).

For example, typing morphix lang=es you change the keyboard/language to spanish.

If you don?t change the keyboard, in the default image, Morphix boots with U.S. keyboard layout (i.e. '=' letter is located two keys on the right of the zero key).

You can see the default keyboard at http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboardlayout#ThisistheUSkeyboardlayout:

Take a look on [1] for the available languages. If you wish to add a language, submit a patch (or a new version if you have to) of this file via the morphix facilities.

[edit] For Morphix tools

See details of adding a translation of a tool (MorphInstall, PartitionMorpher or other SubProjects): GetText

Currently there isn't support for translating the startup scripts. Patches for this are welcome though.
